The one man responsible for making comics more meaningful than just superhereoes funny cartoons.
Scott Mc Clouds books (see Further Reading) have been a big influence on this website.
Alex Ross is a brilliant painter and makes me very jealous! His work is inspiring.

Brians work played a big part in my illustrating style. His neat accurate approach is really professional.
Another great british artist whose attention to detail is frightening!
An amazing artist who is also a great storyteller and writer.

Will Eisner & Mike Kinsella. Dublin 1994.

WILL EISNER
Will Eisner the father of comics died on Monday, January 3rd 2005 age 87.
I met Will in Dublin briefly what seems like many years ago. He was an amazing man. Full of passion and encouragement for comics as a valid art form. He was in his late 70s but he was such an active man, swimming every morning in his home in Florida.
Since the age of 52, when most people would retire, he produced a graphic novel EVERY year. He was working right up until he passed away. May he rest in peace.
